IT Support Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

We are recruiting for an experienced IT Support Coordinator to join our IT team on a fixed term contract.

We are recruiting for an experienced IT Support Coordinator to join our IT team on a fixed term contract.

This role provides first-line technical support to our employees, including help-desk response and ticket management. As part of a small team of IT professionals, you will coordinate and respond to day-to-day support requirements and assist colleagues across all departments with their IT needs.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Providing first-line technical support to staff
  • Help-desk response and ticket management
  • Administration, ordering, setup, and installation of new PCs, printers, and peripherals
  • Handover of new equipment to colleagues
  • Network account management tasks
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Installing and maintaining computer hardware and software
  • Providing support for mobile devices
  • Managing and maintaining IT inventory
  • Creating and maintaining documentation
  • Assisting with IT projects
  • Providing training to staff on IT systems and procedures
  • Staying up-to-date on IT trends and technologies

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential
  • Ability to solve customer support issues by phone and in person. Calm, logical approach to problem-solving in traditional, virtualised and cloud environments.
  • Ability to liaise with supplier support contacts and manage support issues that require escalation to vendors such as third party application and hardware vendors
  • Microsoft AD and 365 account admin capability
  • Windows Server environment PC troubleshooting skills
  • PC upgrade and deployment skills
  • Understanding of AV and IT training environment, ability to setup and support training and presentation events
  • Basic appreciation of VOIP Telephony, UC environment infrastructure and troubleshooting
  • Physically fit and able to lift and carry hardware, as required.
Desirable
  • Google Workspace admin and desktop troubleshooting skills
  • Experience of MS-SQL stored procedures for basic application issue investigation, data fixing and custom data queries for internal customers
  • Aptitude for developing your Windows server and other application server administration, support and troubleshooting

Hours of Work 

The contractual hours of work are 35 per week however this may also suit flexible part time working.

This is a 12 month contract fixed term February 2025 – February 2026.

Salary and Benefits

We can offer a salary of up to £27,700 per annum pro rata dependent on experience.

We offer 33 days / 6.6 weeks holiday inclusive of bank holidays, per annum, pro rata.
