How much does Associate Membership cost?

Associate Members pay a one-off non-refundable registration fee of £200, and an annual renewal, which is currently £90.

Will the annual PAYMENT rate increase?

We regularly review the annual renewal for Associate Membership and Festival Society Membership. Notification of a renewal increase will be posted to all subscribers at least 4 weeks before the payment is due.

When do I pay my £200 joining fee?

The £200 fee is payable immediately upon joining.

Can Gift Aid be claimed on Membership fees and RENEWALS?

If you are a UK taxpayer we can claim Gift Aid on Membership renewals at no extra cost to you. We cannot claim Gift Aid on registration or joining fees.

When do I pay my annual RENEWAL?

The payment is due in October each year for the following Festival. A request is sent out in September giving you the option to set up a Direct Debit, pay by credit card / debit card or cheque.

It is a requirement of Membership that the annual renewal is paid by the named Member only.

Do any concessions apply to my annual RENEWAL?

We regret not. All Associates and Members are required to pay the full amount every year.

Can I hold my Membership jointly with my spouse/partner?

Associate Membership must be initially taken out in one person’s name. Once you have joined you may elect to hold your Membership jointly with your spouse/partner after you have registered. Please email membership@glyndebourne.com and confirm the name of your spouse/partner.

Can Memberships be transferred or inherited?

No. Glyndebourne Memberships cannot be transferred other than between spouses or life partners.

How are Associate Membership places allocated?

Associate Membership places are allocated on a first come/first served basis.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or over.

As soon as the registration process is complete and the joining fee paid, the Associate Membership place is allocated and a position on the waiting list is secured.

What happens after I have joined as an Associate Member?

After we have received your fee payment we will email confirmation within three working days and then send your Welcome Pack (or Gift Pack) in the following 10 days. Full booking information and details about making your priority ticket application will be posted to you in autumn each year.

How long will I wait before reaching the top of the waiting list?

We anticipate that Associate Members will wait approximately 10 to 12 years for Membership of the Festival Society.

What happens when I reach the top of the waiting list?

When an Associate Member reaches the top of the waiting list the Membership team will be in contact.

There is no further fee to pay when taking up full Festival Society Membership. The annual renewal is currently £206.

Am I guaranteed tickets to the Glyndebourne Festival?

Priority booking through Associate Membership and Festival Society Membership offers an excellent opportunity to secure tickets to the Festival but we regret that requests cannot be guaranteed as inevitably certain productions and performances are oversubscribed.

By providing a wide selection of alternative dates, tickets prices and seating options, the chances of securing tickets may be increased. Please note that standing places and slips seats are not available during Festival Society Member or Associate Member priority booking.

Can I be an Under 30s member and Associate Membership at the same time?

Yes. Under 30s membership is free to join and is open to anyone aged 29 or under. Under 30s membership gives you access to Glyndebourne offers throughout the year, including tickets at heavily subsidised prices thanks to our New Generation Programme.

Please be aware that tickets available exclusively to Under 30s are not available to purchase during the Associate Members’ or Festival Society Members’ priority booking period.
