Join Anabel Loyd at Glyndebourne on 26 July where she will be signing copies of her new book Picnic Crumbs: A Gathering of Picnics, Packed Lunches and Provisions at Home and Abroad.
Picnic Crumbs is a wonderfully evocative collection of stories relayed by writers, travellers and gastronomes of all persuasions describing their memorable picnics of past and present, perfect and imperfect. This delightfully eclectic anthology features Glyndebourne picnic memories retold by a diverse range of Glyndebourne’s illustrious audiences over the last 50 years. The book is peppered with obscure and historical recipes from around the world from Bear Steak to Elephant’s Foot and appeals to anyone interested in food, travel and of course, British eccentricities.
Anabel will be at signing copies of her book from 3pm on 26 July and will be reading specially selected Glyndebourne extracts from her book as well as signing copies of Picnic Crumbs book on the day.
Picnic Crumbs is available to buy from the Glyndebourne shop priced at £14.95 for a paperback edition.
