2013 marks the conclusion of Vladimir Jurowski’s 13 year tenure as Music Director of the Glyndebourne Festival, during which time he has conducted the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment in many extraordinary performances of repertoire by composers including Britten, Rachmaninov, Prokofiev, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Eötvös, Mozart, Janáček and Rossini.

In addition to the much anticipated new production of Strauss’s Ariadne auf Naxos, which opens Festival 2013, on Friday 23 August Vladimir Jurowski conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Glyndebourne Chorus in a concert celebrating his history and achievements at Glyndebourne.
