BBC Radio 3 Music Matters

5 July 2014

On Saturday 5 July, BBC Radio 3's flagship programme Music Matters comes live from Glyndebourne to debate the question, ‘Why does opera matter today?’

You are invited to join us in the audience to hear presenter Petroc Trelawny and a panel including operatic icon Sir John Tomlinson and cultural commentator Paul Morley discuss the state of opera in 2014. Other contributors include Glyndebourne's general director David Pickard, Annilese Miskimmon, newly appointed Artistic Director of Danish National Opera and Wasfi Kani, director of Grange Park Opera.

This special event is free to attend and celebrates Glyndebourne's 80th anniversary year. You are invited to join us from 11am, the live programme is 45 minutes long and begins at 12.15pm.

A valid ticket is required for entry.

Why is there a time limit?

Due to demand from other customers seats are reserved for a maximum of 20 minutes in order to allow you to complete your purchase. If the order has not been completed within this time, all seats will be removed from your basket.
