Re-released on DVD from the Glyndebourne archives and digitally restored, this 40-minute film is a riveting piece of social history. Directed by Anthony Asquith with a screenplay by Paul Dehn.

It features an appearance by Glyndebourne’s founder John Christie and excerpts from the 1955 Festival performance of Le nozze di Figaro with Sena Jurinac, Sesto Bruscantini and Elena Rizzieri, conducted by Vittorio Gui.
