The Glyndebourne Festival Programme book has been published annually since 1952, with beautifully illustrated articles to complement the season’s repertoire. Originally inspired by the season-long Programme Book of the Aix-en-Provence Festival, industrialist Miki Sekers suggested to the then General Director Moran Caplat that something along similar lines would be ideal for Glyndebourne.
The 2012 Programme book will include essays by John Tyrrell and Gavin Plumley on The Cunning Little Vixen, and by Rodney Milnes and Benjamin Ivry on Ravel’s L’heure espagnole and L’enfant et les sortileges. Other features will include Alan Rusbridger’s view of the new digital space and Glyndebourne’s new Wind Turbine.
2012 programmes will be posted during the second week of May.
