Glyndebourne Festival has announced its biggest cinema programme yet with more operas screening to more people, in more cinemas than ever before.
Five of the operas in the 2012 Festival, including all three of this year’s new productions, will be shown in over 50 cinemas across the UK in partnership with Picturehouse Entertainment.
Glyndebourne’s 2012 Festival will reach a global audience of millions through innovative digital partnerships with The Guardian Newspaper Group and Picturehouse Entertainment.
The 78th Glyndebourne Festival will have an enhanced digital portfolio that sees Glyndebourne’s worldwide reach expanded through the second year of its successful Guardian partnership. The 2012 campaign sees five operas in this year’s Festival streamed free at: www.guardian.co.uk
