It is with deep regret that Glyndebourne informs you that Robert Poulton was tragically killed in a car accident on Tuesday 30 October 2012.
Robert had been a very valued part of the Glyndebourne family for many years. He started his professional career in the Glyndebourne Chorus and as part of this distinguished career had performed central roles both in the Festival and Tour. He will be enormously missed by everyone in the company.
Glyndebourne has appointed a Dramaturg to advise on specialist opera content for a range of initiatives including programme books, publications, media, and pre-performance talks and study events, and to provide support to Glyndebourne’s creative teams.

Imago is Glyndebourne’s latest community opera and the hunt is now on for a host of talented local people to join the cast. Glyndebourne is searching for 16 – 25 year olds to audition for Imago on Tuesday 23 October.
New-look Glyndebourne Tour includes cinema screenings for first time
This autumn Glyndebourne’s annual tour hits the road with a new-look that for the first time sees cinema screenings taking place alongside on-stage performances. The move is part of a wider revamp that marks the most significant change to the Tour model in more than forty years.
Due to demand from other customers seats are reserved for a maximum of 20 minutes in order to allow you to complete your purchase. If the order has not been completed within this time, all seats will be removed from your basket.
