About The Turn of the Screw at the Glyndebourne Festival 2011

Britten’s brilliantly scored, insidiously compelling adaptation of Henry James’ ghost story takes its themes of childlike innocence and adult corruption, then twists and turns them to disturbing and ultimately devastating effect.
Returning to the Festival, the production stars Toby Spence as Peter Quint and Miah Persson as the Governess (both performing in this year’s Don Giovanni to great acclaim).

I was fascinated by Lynne Truss's "take" on Turn of the Screw. and look forward to seeing a performance in the light of her story ... I've always felt 'spooked' by the opera, and now there's another dimension!
