Dominic Harlan explains why Hänsel und Gretel continues to delight audiences over a hundred year since it was composed. Also included is an introduction to composer Engelbert Humperdinck.
Part Two
Dominic Harlan introduces the roles of conductor and director within the production of an opera as well as backstage elements such as lighting, costume and set design. Dominic also introduces the concept of leitmotif.
