What is Associate Membership?
Associate Membership is the waiting list for the Glyndebourne Festival Society.

How long do Associate Members wait for Membership of the Festival Society?
We estimate that Associate Members will have to wait an average of ten years for Festival Society membership. When you reach the top of the waiting list you will be invited to become a member of the Glyndebourne Festival Society. At that time you will be asked to accept or decline our invitation - it will not be possible to remain as an Associate Member.
How do I make an application to the ballot for Associate Membership?

You can register your interest by calling + 44 (0) 1273 815400 (10am – 5pm Monday – Friday) and we will let you know when the next ballot is being held. Please note that applicants must be aged 21 or over.

I would like to share Associate Membership with my spouse - can I apply jointly for one position?
It is not possible to enter more than one individual name per application. However, please note that if you are successful in the ballot you can elect to hold Associate membership jointly with your spouse / life partner.
What are the benefits of being an Associate Member?

- Priority booking for up to 24 tickets for each Festival, spread across six productions, in the second ticket ballot immediately after Festival Society members. Glyndebourne reserves the right to limit ticket allocations for certain productions when required.
- Advance information about the Glyndebourne Festival each year.
- Position on the waiting list for Festival Society Membership.
Through their subscription payments, donations and ticket purchases Associate Members provide vital financial support to Glyndebourne.

Do Associate Members get access to cheaper tickets?
Neither Festival Society members nor Associate Members receive a discount on tickets.

What are the benefits of being a member of the Festival Society?
When an Associate Member reaches the top of waiting list they will be offered membership of Festival Society for life (with payment of an annual subscription – currently £155). Members of the Festival Society receive benefits including:
- Priority booking for a limited number of tickets for each Festival in first ticket ballot.
- Advance information about the Glyndebourne Festival, the Glyndebourne shop, concerts and special events.
- A complimentary programme book
- Annual newsletters and a copy of Glyndebourne’s Annual Report.
- A dedicated membership office to assist
Through their subscription payments, donations and ticket purchases Members provide vital financial support to Glyndebourne.

Can I pass on my own Membership to my child?
No – all Glyndebourne Memberships are non transferable and can be held only between spouses or life partners.

Applying for tickets as a Festival Society Member
Ticket requests from Associate Members and Festival Society members cannot be guaranteed as inevitably certain productions and performances are oversubscribed. By providing a wide selection of alternative dates, ticket prices and seating options, the chances of securing tickets may be increased. Please note that standing places and slips seats are not available during Festival Society member or Associate Member priority booking. The availability of seats during priority booking is subject to change.
