Julian Sutherland-Beatson Hamlet competition

  1. The prize draw is open to every ticket booker for a performance of Hamlet at Glyndebourne during Festival 2017 who has booked and paid for their tickets before 0:01am on Monday 1 May 2017.
  2. The draw relates to the live performances at Glyndebourne only; it does not include cinema bookers.
  3. A ticket booker is defined as the individual or company who makes the purchase of Hamlet ticket(s), whose contact information is held in association with those tickets on Glyndebourne’s database.
  4. Only one entry will be made per booker.
  5. Bookers who return, exchange or offer for resale their Hamlet tickets will be excluded from the draw. If this should apply to the winner after the draw has been made, Glyndebourne reserves the right to withdraw the prize.
  6. The winner will be selected at random and will be notified by email by Friday 5 May 2017. Glyndebourne’s decision is final.
  7. The prize includes one small painting (size 20cm x 20cm) by the artist Julian Sutherland-Beatson. The winner will have the opportunity to meet Julian on the day of their Hamlet visit to discuss the content of the painting – something which captures their experience. Please note that Julian is not a portrait artist. In keeping with his usual practise, Julian may choose to take photographs for reference to complete the work.
  8. The painting will be completed within one calendar month of the winner’s Hamlet visit to Glyndebourne. On completion, the winner will be notified and delivery arranged, at Glyndebourne’s expense.
  9. Glyndebourne will take a photograph of the completed work for promotional use.
  10. There is no cash alternative to this prize and it is not transferrable.
