The Archive holds a wealth of material about the people, productions and origins of our world–renowned opera house. Come and see curated exhibitions and find out what's new in the Glyndebourne archive.

Visitor information

The Gallery is open to opera-goers from 3.00pm (2.00pm Sundays) until First Bell, and at other times by appointment.

The Archive is open Monday to Friday by prior appointment only:

  • May to August 10.00 to 14.00

  • September to April 10.00 to 16.00

Researchers are not allowed personal access to the filing system, but the Archivist will be pleased to discuss individual needs and assemble all relevant material before to any visit.

We do charge for some services, and details are available on request.

Why is there a time limit?

Due to demand from other customers seats are reserved for a maximum of 20 minutes in order to allow you to complete your purchase. If the order has not been completed within this time, all seats will be removed from your basket.
